The AA missile Fix Test Build

AA Missile fix you ask? Yes.

In OTA (original, unmodified Total Annihilation) AA missile units, especially the missile towers (Defender and Pulveriser) and the missile trucks (Samson and Slasher) could be used as the ultimate en-masse unit. Send in a dozen or more missile trucks and destroy everything in your path.

Much was made of the Uberhack fix - which was to make all AA missiles AA-only. A lot of mods since then have followed this path. I was never satisfied with such a drastic change to gameplay. Samsons and Slashers went from being used too much to not being used at all in ground combat.

This build of GMTA, apart from all the other bugfixing... is to test another way of removing the dominance of these missile units without removing them from ground-to-ground combat altogether.

Try it. Find that missile units still fire at ground units, just not as far.. and they are better than ever at shooting down aircraft.

Here is a pic in upspring of a randomly chosen unit I retextured and slightly remodeled. Simply because I cant bear to have a page without any pictures. It's the Core Gargoyle, a mobile Doomsday Machine.
